About me
I'm Alfredo Ramirez Diaz, a full-stack developer living in Massachusetts, near Boston.
I studied Computer Engineering at UNITEC in Honduras. My first serious work was in PHP with Yii2's MVC; later I spent years building business systems on Frappe and ERPNext — that's where Ren POS, my restaurant point of sale, comes from.
Over time I kept writing the same plumbing again and again: models, forms, permissions, APIs, deployment. So I started Loopar — an open-source meta-framework where you define an entity once and get the database, the REST API, the forms and the views. This site is itself a Loopar app.
What drives me
I'm motivated by automation and by tools that give people back their time. I also want to show other developers from Honduras, and from anywhere with fewer opportunities, that you can build serious software from wherever you start.
Outside the code
I film planes, birds and New England landscapes under Ardframes — the same patience it takes to wait for the right light helps with hard bugs.
